Step off the deck onto 7 miles 🌴 of sugar-sand beach ⛱️. Four bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, including two king suites with oceanfront balconies ☀️. Soak in the hot tub over the waves 🌊, swim in the pool, or paddle a kayak. Elevator, bikes, Blackstone and Weber grills. 🐬, shelling, shark teeth, and sunsets guests talk about for years. Palm Island is a special and quiet barrier island reached by 4-minute car ferry or boat ⛵.
Good to know
Over 2,500 square feet, with ocean views from almost every room. A screened beachfront porch with dining, a porch swing, and an upper deck made for sunsets. The kitchen is lavishly supplied and has quartz countertops, coffee bar with an espresso machine, Keurig and a drinks fridge. Two sets of washers and dryers, so beach towels are never a problem. Golf cart rental is available (ask us), the easiest way to get around the island. What guests have said... ☀️ Was even more stunning than the photos. ☀️ Pool is an added (and rare!) bonus for the island. ☀️ We saw many dolphins from the deck and found wonderful shells and shark teeth on the beach. ☀️ Best kept secret in southwest Florida.
Other Details to Note
Palm Island has no bridge. The car ferry runs every day and takes 4 minutes. Many guests buy the weekly ferry pass and stock up on groceries before crossing, which makes island life easy. The island has a restaurant, a gift shop and an ice cream shop. Traveling with a bigger group? We also own the cottage next door, Sunset Beach Cottage South. The approximately 3-minute car ferry runs continuously starting at 6:30am 7 days a week and runs until 10pm Sun - Thurs, 11pm on Friday and until midnight on Saturday. Round trip vehicle cost of the car ferry is $55. You can pay (cash or cc) when you board. There is an option to purchase a weekly pass for $250. You can drive directly to Sunset Beach Cottage, which is on the central portion of the island. The north portion of the island (within Palm Island Resort) is electric golf carts only. We offer a 2022 Club Car 6-seater golf cart for $600 (including tax) for 7 days.
